A Jace & Maddie Adventure presents:

Christmas At The Biltmore

THE ADVENTURE BEGINS. Jace and Maddie never expected a gift in return when they helped an old woman one cold day, but when a mysterious letter arrives a few days after Christmas, they find themselves whisked away to another time and place. Suddenly, they’re in the middle of New York City in the late 1800’s, and Christmas is still on the way. Along with some unexpected new friends, Jace and Maddie soon set out on an adventure bound for North Carolina and a magnificent Christmas celebration at a mansion known as the Biltmore Estate.

What is the Biltmore Estate?

Biltmore Castle

Designed by architect,  “Richard Morris Hunt,” the Biltmore house spans more than 175,000 square feet and includes 250 rooms.  That includes 43 bathrooms!

Christmas Time

During Christmas, the Biltmore estate hand crafts 62 Christmas trees, displays around 45,000 lights and 250 candles, and includes 500 ornaments on the main banquet hall tree alone.

Biltmore Estate

As a pioneer in sustainable land use practices, Biltmore boasts a robust farm and field-to-table program.  The property was originally 125,000 acres but is now 8,000.

The Biltmore

“Maddie and Jace learned forward as the carriage rolled toward the house. Only house was not the right word for it…How had Mary descried it the day they first met? A castle!

The Reception Hall

“Jace couldn’t help but peer over the rail as they marched up the stairs…she saw an open arched room full of green.  What is that?”

Cornelia's Room

“Over here is my room where I was born.  They call it the Louis XV room.”

Pool

“Then they insisted on exploring the mansion.”

Kitchen

“Why don’t we all get cleaned up and changed and then we’ll meet in the kitchen to get dinner ready for our house guests.”

Biltmore Forest School

“Sure enough, just about lunchtime, the students all left the one room school building.  Some immediately had lunch on the porch, while others took their unch and headed off into the woods where they would spend the rest of the afternoon.”

Biltmore Forest School Cabin

“The two-story log cabin may have looked rustic on the outside but Mr. Smith had made it a very warm, cozy and comfortable home.”
